
About Me

Mikayla graduated Cum Laude from North Carolina Central University School of Law at the height of the pandemic in 2020. Before starting her own practice, Mikayla was a Legal Aid attorney assisting survivors of Domestic Violence obtain protective orders. While currently based in Wayne County, Mikayla serves clients across North Carolina via virtual, web-based services.
She is passionate about social justice issues, strongly identifies as anti-racist, and has extensive experience with LGBTQIA+ populations. She believes housing, healthcare, and access to safe and affordable food and water are basic human rights.
In her spare time, Mikayla watches TV, plays with her dog Caulfield, makes extravagant recipes with her partner, and tries to improve her swimming ability.
